Sound familiar?

Your business may already need custom software.

Most businesses that need custom software did not go looking for it. They went looking for a way to stop doing the same work twice.

Those are the kinds of problems we build software to solve.

From problem to system

What that usually turns into.

Every project starts from a problem like one of these — not from a technology.

Why it is worth it

Stop carrying information from one place to the next.

Each manual hand-off costs time, and each re-key is a chance to get it wrong. A system built around your process removes the hand-offs instead of speeding them up.

Before

The same information, carried by hand

  1. Spreadsheet exported
  2. Email attached
  3. PDF printed, filled in, scanned
  4. Manual entry re-typed
  5. Another system
After

One system, built around your process

Your custom platform
  1. Request
  2. Approval
  3. The work
  4. Invoice
  5. Report
Entered once. Every stage reads the same record.
  • Customer portal
  • Mobile app
  • Accounting
  • Dashboard
  • Nothing typed twice
  • Status visible to everyone who needs it
  • Reports that build themselves
  • A record of who did what, and when
Before: information moves from a spreadsheet to email to a PDF to manual entry into another system, with a manual step at every hand-off. After: one custom platform carries the work from request to approval to the work itself, the invoice and the report, connected to a customer portal, a mobile app, accounting and a dashboard.

How it works

A conversation first. An agreed scope before any build.

Most custom software goes wrong in one of two places: nobody agreed what it was supposed to do, or nobody owned it after launch. The process is built to avoid both.

  1. 01 Free consultation Free · about 30 minutes

Show us the workflow or the problem. We ask questions and tell you whether custom software is worth exploring — or whether something simpler would do.

  2. 02 Discovery, when needed Paid · agreed in advance

Larger or less certain projects start here. We map the workflow properly and write it up as a specification: what the system does, for whom, how it connects and in what phases. Its scope, deliverables and fee are agreed before it starts, and you keep the specification whether or not we build it.

  3. 03 Proposal & agreed build Quoted against the scope

A clear written proposal: what will be built, in what phases, by when and for how much. Once it is agreed, the figure you approve is the figure you pay; anything new is quoted separately rather than absorbed quietly into the timeline.

  4. 04 Launch & ongoing support Optional

After launch we can host and maintain it — updates, security patches, store submissions and changes as your business moves — or deploy it to a cloud account you own. Support is optional, and you can stop it whenever it stops being worth paying for.

What a paid discovery can cover

  • Workflow mapping
  • Requirements
  • User roles and permissions
  • Integrations
  • Technical architecture
  • UX planning
  • Scope and project phases
  • Estimated timeline
  • Budget
  • A written specification you keep

You work directly with me, from discovery through support.

Pi Consultants Technology Solutions LLC — trading as PiTech Consultants — was founded in 2024 on a straightforward premise: an established business should not have to choose between software that is properly built and being treated like an account number.

The person who maps your workflow is the person who designs and builds the system, and the person you call about it afterwards. No sales-to-developer handoff, and no revolving account managers.

Common questions

What people ask first.

If yours isn't here, ask it — you’ll get a plain answer either way.

How do we know whether we need custom software?

It usually shows up as a workaround: a spreadsheet that runs a core process, information typed into two systems, a report someone assembles by hand. If an off-the-shelf product fits, we will say so. Custom software is worth it when the process is specific to how you operate and the workarounds cost real hours every week.

What happens in the first conversation?

About 30 minutes, no charge. You show us the workflow or the problem; we ask questions and tell you whether custom software is worth exploring. It is a qualifying conversation, not a free planning session. Small, well-defined work can usually go straight to a proposal; larger projects start with paid discovery, agreed in advance.

How do you price a project?

Every project is quoted against an agreed scope, never from a single call. Small, well-defined work can usually be proposed straight after the free consultation. Larger systems normally begin with paid discovery: its scope, deliverables and fee are agreed before it starts, and it produces a written specification you keep either way. Hosting, updates and support afterwards are optional.

Who hosts it once it is built?

Either works. We can host and maintain it for you on a monthly care plan, or deploy it to a cloud account in your company’s name. For larger systems we recommend your own account, so the infrastructure and the data sit with you from day one.

How long does a build take?

It depends on the workflow. A focused first phase is usually measured in weeks to a few months, and larger systems are delivered in phases. The proposal gives you a timeline before any build is billed.

Who will we actually work with?

PiTech is founder-led. You work directly with Mina Habashy from discovery through launch and support — no sales-to-developer handoff, and no revolving account managers.

Where are you based?

In Valrico, in the Tampa Bay area. We work with businesses throughout Florida and nationwide; most of the work happens over video and screen share, and on-site meetings are available across Land O Lakes, Odessa, Wesley Chapel, Lutz and Tampa.

Do you still provide IT support?

Yes, for a limited number of clients: managed IT, helpdesk, Microsoft 365, security and backups. It is a separate service from the software work, with its own response commitment.

Show us the process you wish worked better.

Bring the spreadsheet, the email chain or the workaround. In about 30 minutes we’ll tell you whether custom software is worth exploring — and if it isn’t, what we would do instead.
